The new massive RESISTANT deck is extremely resistant and easy to take care of. Its name says it all! Hardly anything in the extended living area is exposed to more than patio and balcony surfaces. Not only weather influences, such as rain, snow, frost, or even heat and intensive sun radiation take their toll on surfaces. During the ‘barbecue season‘ these surfaces have to deal with even more, for example when the ‘extended living room‘ turns into a party and barbecue location. The material is then not only ‘trodden down‘, but is also exposed to red wine and grease spills. Wood composite material has proven an ideal outdoor surface for this kind of exposure. More and more consumers now decide on these durable and naturally beautiful surfaces.
But now an even more robust decking surface is available. NATURinFORM, specialised in decks and profiles made of wood composite materials, has created the ‘RESISTANT‘ outdoor deck as a surface that requires even less maintenance and care. Its trick is a protective cover for the wooden core, which makes the patio surface even more resistant to humidity, weathering, and dirt. Resistant – a so-called co-extruded massive deck – means a trendsetting innovative step in wood composite material technology.
The new deck’s core is made up of NATURinFORM‘s reliable wood composite material: 70 percent PEFC-certified wood, prepared with an environmentally-friendly binding agent. This core is covered with a 1.5 millimetre thin, completely protecting polymere layer in an innovative production procedure. This protective cover layer makes the deck water repellant and guarantees a very high stability regarding shape, colour, and surface. Because of the sophisticated combination of materials the resistant patio deck can be used not only in family home patios and balconies, but also is ideal for outdoor facilities, jetties, pool surroundings, as well as public places with a high amount of traffic. Thanks to the material’s excellent UV resistance the decks can be used for surfaces that are only partially covered by a roof. They will always guarantee absolute surefootedness and are extremely slip-proof (R12 according to DIN 51130 / ASR-A1.5.)
New generation of reliable wood composite materials
The RESISTANT patio deck broadens NATURinFORM‘s product range by an innovative co-extruded massive deck. The polymer cover makes this new deck generation even more resistant than current wood composite materials already are. RESISTANT is much more resistant to dirt, grease, as well as other staining substances. Thanks to its new covering layer, water cannot penetrate the decks, meaning that they are fas less subject to the most diverse weathering impacts. The polymere layer additionally protects the wooden core against sun and light, thereby preventing otherwise common colour changes through the natural development of wood patina that can develop as years go by. And an additional plus: The protected patio decks require next to no care, as they need neither be oiled, nor painted.
Intensive colours and natural grain
RESISTANT is available in three new, intensive shades. The range covers a warm colour sand, a strong umbra, to a modern gravel shade. Optically and haptically just like a solid wooden deck, it looks like exotic hard wood. This means it is an ecological option for durable and resistant decks.
Elegant look and simple laying
The RESISTANT patio deck is delivered with a laying aid that enables an even, narrow gap of approx. 5 mm, giving the patio surface an elegant look. To begin with, RESISTANT is available to purchase from dealers in lengths of five and six metres. The decks are 138 mm wide and are approx. 23 millimetres high. Depending on the location, around 2.5 to 3 metres of base profile and around 16 stainless steel brackets with screws are required to lay one square metre. Processors can use NATURinFORM’s standard laying accessories.
There are environmental product declarations according to international standards available (EPDs) for all of NATURinFORM’s decks and façade profiles. All products are continously monitored by quality controls and stress tests, to guarantee a constant perfect and first-class wood composite quality. The company provides a five-year guarantee on ist products. The patio decks can be recycled 100 percent and can be returned to the plant in Bavarian Redwitz für recycling.
